Flight Tips for China

Major airports: PEK, PVG, CAN

Beijing Capital (PEK) and Daxing (PKX) serve the north. Shanghai Pudong (PVG) for the east. Guangzhou (CAN) for the south. Choose the airport closest to your first destination.

High-speed rail vs flying

For distances under 800 km, high-speed rail is often faster than flying (no airport time). Beijing-Shanghai takes 4.5 hours by train vs 5+ hours flying. Our packages include rail where it makes sense.

Book trains early for holidays

Chinese New Year (Jan/Feb), Labour Day (May 1), and National Day (Oct 1) see train tickets sell out weeks in advance. Book immediately if traveling during these periods.
